Happenings

Happy to report that we had a great turnout for the summer clinic with the kids. We've had 37-50 kids each Monday and Wednesday. Huge thank you to the @USTASouthwest for their grant support. Without these grants and support we wouldn't be able to continue with these summer and fall clinics.  #GrowtheGame35.  Thank you to Kayla, Gil and Benito for helping us. It was a huge success.

The October 11th Roadrunner tournament will be here again and volunteers are needed. If interested either contact Janet Santackas or a board member. Friends of the court are what we need, it's easy and fun to watch these kids play.

We appreciate those that came out this past Saturday to help hang (2) 60ft windscreens, we really appreciate you being there and thanks to Greg and Gail for always doing work at the courts. The latest round of vandalism resulted in nothing stolen thankfully/ The board is working on ways to deter this problem. Greg and Gail also took care of the rotted wood on the door at the shed. We keep asking the city to turn their sprinkler heads to water the dirt/grasses instead of the sheds. Talks about re-surfacing our courts has been underway for quite some. More info on this in the future.

2025 Southwest Regional Scramble

The 2025 Southwest Regional Scramble was held on Saturday, May 10 here in Alamogordo. Great turnout. Thank you Jamie & Emory Borsodi, Bruce Begor, Art Fiero, Sintra Sampath. The Red ball was re-introduced as well as Triples (played with Orange ball), the Triples is a pretty good cardio workout. It was great to see some of the ladies from our Adult Beginner 1-2-3 program. Congratulations to the local winners, Ruthven, Kayla, Candace, Patsy.
