Work Day-- We Need Your Help!!

We will have a work day - on Thursday March 17, starting at 8:30.
This will involve completing some court maintenance in order to keep our courts in good condition. If we have fourteen workers, the following projects can be completed in just two hours:
* Secure windscreens with zip ties and wire.
* Caulk the joints on the south facing hitting wall.
* Fill the groove between tennis court material and the cement walkway along courts 1 & 3 (This will prevent cracks in the concrete caused by frozen water expansion.)
If you have a caulking gun, please bring it with you. All other supplies will be provided.
Please study your Thursday March 17 schedule and let us know at alamotennis@gmail.com if you will be available to work.

March Play Day

Beautiful weather, great fun and delicious food! The best apfelkuchen mit cranberries! Thank you to the Witaks for a great March play day.

Gail, Cameron, Cathy and Steve examine their prizes.

Second place for the women was a three way tie among Gail, Diane and Laurie. Gail's name was drawn to receive the prizes.

Be the first to answer our trivia questions and win a prize!!!

How do you say cranberries in German???
How do you say "deuce" in Spanish?
The Sacramento Mountains is an east-dipping fault block, made mostly of what kind of rock?

Senior Olympics

2011 Senior Olympics Competition

There are singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events in 5 year age increments, starting at age 50.

LOCAL: Register between March 28 and April 12 (main registration day is April 12). Pick up the registration form at the Senior Center. Ask for Jean Duncan (mornings are better). Fill out the form there, or take it with you. There is a one time/cover everything local FEE of $15.

Actual competition will occur during the week starting Monday, April 18 (some leeway here). Grady Nicholson will layout the matches, based on the registration.

STATE: Qualifying players from the local play can play at the state competition, but its not an obligation (its really hard not to qualify). State will be held at NMSU, Las Cruces, during the last week in July, this year. A separate registration fee will apply to State. This is NOT a qualifying year for Nationals.
