Turkey Shoot play day & annual meeting on Nov. 4th, hosted by the ATA board, was well attended with about 30 members present. Evelyn presented a short run down of ATA: Past, Present, & Future, and Greg presented ATA financial status and court maintenance issues. Board election process began with 4 people running for 3 positions. After the meeting Charles organized six courts of players, with help from Nell and Linda. Players who took home the turkeys were Joy, Nori, Grady, and Terry. Congratulations!

Weather was terrific for ATA 2017 fall tournament.. Although the draw was small, tennis was excellent with players traveling from Las Cruces, Albuquerque, El Paso, and Amarillo. Many enjoyed a nice evening and buffet at the 19th Hole restaurant Saturday night. Huge thanks to Linda Gilliland, tournament director, and Nell Nicholson, tournament referee. Special thanks to Greg Richardson for obtaining and organizing all tournament donations. This was the first year that ATA offered cash prizes in a tournament, which was well received. Also thanks to everyone who helped set up and clean up the courts before and after play each day, and to everyone who supported and played in this tournament.

Twenty players showed up for September play day, but the rain showed up too! So players just huddled under the canopy for a delicious breakfast. Three courts of players came out the next day to play for prizes. Thanks to Janet and Joe for hosting this fun play day!
